Mission Statement

Our Purpose
To unite and assist churches to fulfill the Biblical mandates of missions and church development for the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom” (Adopted October, 2002)

This Mission Statement suggests that MPBA possesses
One Passion- the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom
Two Purposes- uniting and assisting churches
Two Priorities- missions and church development.

These 5 truths correspond with the historical purposes of associations.
The question is, “How do we fulfill this mission?”

To unite and assist churches to fulfill the Biblical mandate of missions, I envision the use of 4 “E’s”.
  1.  Enlighten- We will inform, instruct and enlighten the association about mission needs, opportunities, and concerns.
  2.  Enlist- We will endeavor to enlist churches and members to pray regularly for missions.
  3.  Encourage- We will encourage churches and members to faithfully give to missions.
  4.  Enable- We will endeavor to enable churches to be directly involved in missions by providing mission opportunities.

To unite and assist churches to fulfill the Biblical mandate of church development. I envision the employment of 4 “M’s”.
  1.  Model- We must strive to make our organization a model of health and effectiveness.
  2.  Mentor- We will provide training and teaching resources to assist churches to become healthy congregations.
  3.  Motivation- We must attempt to inspire churches to become healthy, effective congregations.
  4.  Multiply- We will strive to start new churches that will develop into healthy, effective congregations.
